DevOps Engineer
Location: San Francisco, CA DevOps Engineer Location: San Francisco, CA Level: Mid-Level to Senior (5+ years experience) Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role: Join our infrastructure team as a DevOps Engineer and help us build, maintain, and optimize the systems that power our platform. You will work at the intersection of development and operations, implementing automation, ensuring reliability, and enabling rapid deployments. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions - Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes - Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform or similar tools - Monitor system performance and implement automated alerting and remediation - Implement and maintain container orchestration platforms - Optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and security - Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes - Implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies - Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues - Document infrastructure architecture and operational procedures Required Qualifications: - 5+ years of DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience - Expert knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes - Strong experience with CI/CD tools and practices - Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible) - Experience with Linux system administration - Working knowledge of shell scripting and Python - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) - Strong understanding of networking and security concepts Preferred Qualifications: - Kubernetes certifications (CKA or CKAD) - AWS certifications - Experience with Prometheus/Grafana monitoring - Knowledge of GitOps practices - Experience with serverless architectures - Background in security and compliance Benefits: - Competitive Bay Area compensation - Stock options - Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage - Unlimited PTO - Professional development and conference budget - Modern tech stack and latest tools - Collaborative team environment
