Quality Assurance Lead
Location: Austin, TX Quality Assurance Lead Location: Austin, TX Level: Senior (6+ years experience) Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role: Lead our Quality Assurance team as a QA Lead. You will develop testing strategies, ensure product quality, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement in our testing processes. Key Responsibilities: - Develop comprehensive test strategies and test plans - Lead QA team and mentor QA engineers - Design and implement automated testing frameworks - Create and maintain test automation scripts and suites - Perform manual and automated testing on complex applications - Analyze test results and report defects with detailed documentation - Work closely with development and product teams - Establish quality metrics and track testing KPIs - Conduct root cause analysis on defects - Drive adoption of testing best practices and tools - Plan and execute regression testing - Manage QA tools, frameworks, and infrastructure Required Qualifications: - 6+ years of QA and software testing experience - 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role - Strong expertise in test automation frameworks - Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript) - Knowledge of various testing types (unit, integration, functional, performance, security) - Experience with CI/CD integration and testing - Familiarity with Agile methodologies - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications: - ISTQB or similar QA certification - Experience with API and mobile testing - Knowledge of performance and load testing tools - Experience with cloud-based testing platforms - Background in test data management - Experience with defect tracking and management tools Compensation: - Competitive Austin-area salary - Team and individual performance bonuses - Comprehensive benefits package - Professional development and certification support - Flexible work schedule with remote options - 401(k) with company matching - Growing tech culture in Austin - Career advancement opportunities
